Bliss Products and Services, Inc. (BPS), established in April 1984, is a family-owned business dedicated to providing high-quality commercial playground equipment and outdoor recreation solutions. Founded by Gary and Nancie Bliss in Florida, BPS was born from their shared dream of becoming independent entrepreneurs within the parks and recreation industry. With Gary's extensive background as the Director of Broward County Parks and Recreation and Nancie's previous role as Executive Director of the Florida Recreation and Park Association, their combined expertise laid a solid foundation for the company.
Initially, BPS represented several manufacturers and operated out of a small cabin in the mountains of Bryson City, NC. As the business expanded, it necessitated the recruitment of sales representatives and eventually transitioned to a more robust operational model. In 1999, the Bliss couple retired, transferring leadership to their son, Gregg, who relocated the business to Lithia Springs, Georgia. Under Gregg's stewardship, BPS broadened its reach across numerous states, reflecting a commitment to growth and customer satisfaction.
With over 40 years in the industry, BPS offers a diverse range of products including playgrounds, surfacing materials, dog parks, outdoor fitness stations, and park amenities.
