Central Paving Company of Paducah is a family-owned business that has been a staple in the paving industry since its inception in 1967 by Encil Davenport. Initially focused on residential paving, the company has since expanded its services to include commercial projects, dirt excavation, equipment rental, and snow removal contract work with the state of Kentucky. The second generation of the Davenport family took over in 1975, and further expansion came with the successful demand for services in Southern Illinois. A significant event in the company’s history was during the January 2009 North American Ice Storm, when Central Paving opened its facility to allow the community to dispose of storm debris for free, which led to the introduction of a mulch sales division.
Now managed by Troy Davenport and Jeff Griffith, the business not only maintains its legacy of quality paving and concrete services but also adapts to the needs of its clientele by providing a variety of excavation, seal coating, and landscaping services. Their commitment to the community and dedication to quality have solidified their reputation as one of Western Kentucky’s leading paving companies. Celebrating over 50 years of service, Central Paving Company of Paducah prides itself on treating its customers like family and is well-equipped to handle projects of all sizes—vowing that no job is too big or too small. With a goal to exceed customer expectations, Central Paving continues to innovate within the industry while holding on to its roots.
