ESE Consultants, Inc. (ESE) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Toll Brothers, Inc., dedicated to providing comprehensive in-house surveying, planning, engineering, and environmental consulting services across the United States. Established in the early 1980s with a single survey crew in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, ESE's initial focus was to assist Toll Brothers in enhancing production and ensuring quality control. As Toll Brothers expanded its operations, so did ESE, growing into neighboring regions such as Chester and Montgomery Counties, as well as New Jersey.
By the mid-1980s, ESE diversified its services by forming an engineering division, which led to the company being recognized as Eastern States Engineering. The firm further broadened its expertise by incorporating land planning and landscape architecture into its offerings. In the mid-2000s, in conjunction with its geographic expansion outside of the eastern seaboard, the company rebranded itself as ESE Consultants, Inc. to better reflect its broader focus and capabilities.
Today, ESE is staffed by over 150 skilled professionals, including licensed Professional Engineers, Planners, Surveyors, Soil Scientists, Certified Photogrammetrists, and Landscape Architects.
