H. Barron Iron Works, Inc., established in 1954, began as a sole proprietorship by Henry L. Barron, a skilled welder from New York Ship Yard in Camden, New Jersey. The business originated from a personal need to generate additional income for his growing family, and it started with the making and installation of iron step railings. As the demand for quality ironwork grew, Henry expanded his services to include chain link fences and gates in 1963, further enhancing the company's reputation for excellence.
By the 1970s, H. Barron Iron Works had grown to incorporate the fabrication and erection of miscellaneous iron structures such as stairs and platforms, along with structural steel work for buildings. The company took a significant step in 1980 by beginning the installation of pre-engineered buildings, with notable projects at the now-closed Garden State Race Track. That same year marked the formal incorporation of H. Barron Iron Works, Inc. in the state of New Jersey.
Today, the company is owned and operated by Henry’s sons, Dennis J. Barron and Michael E. Barron. Still committed to providing quality craftsmanship, H. Barron Iron Works, Inc. serves a diverse clientele across the Tri-State area, catering to individual homeowners as well as large corporations. Their extensive offerings include the installation, repair, and fabrication of a wide variety of iron and steel structures, such as fences, gates, railings, columns, and more. With a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, the company continues to uphold the values of quality service and craftsmanship that have defined its legacy for nearly seven decades.
