Hour Glass & Mirror, Inc. was founded in 1965 by Charles Morris and Elmer Maddox, two honest men with a commitment to quality service in the glazing industry. Starting as a family-run business, their wives, Barbara and Harriet, played crucial roles in banking and bookkeeping, ensuring smooth operations from the beginning. Over the years, Hour Glass has made a name for itself by providing exceptional commercial and residential glazing services, earning a reputation for reliability and excellence.
In 1976, Greg Holgate joined the Hour Glass family, bringing his carpentry skills and a strong work ethic. Greg's dedication was instrumental in the company’s evolution. Following the retirement of Chuck and Elmer, Greg took over the operational responsibilities of the business. His family connections continued to play a significant role, as his daughter Kelly also joined the team, providing invaluable support in bookkeeping.
Today, Greg’s son, Chad Holgate, represents the third generation of this family-owned business. Since starting at Hour Glass at age 16, Chad has worked his way through the ranks, gaining first-hand experience in various aspects of the trade including installation, repairs, and operations management. His commitment to quality and the preservation of family values has been essential for maintaining customer loyalty over the decades.
Alongside Chad is Arthur Gonzales, a talented glazier who has been with the company since 1999. Art plays a critical role in managing daily service operations and ensuring the efficiency of Hour Glass's projects.
Hour Glass & Mirror prides itself on being available 24/7 to respond to customer needs, showcasing its dedication to safety and service. With over 50 years of experience, the company continues to look for skilled employees who align with its mission of customer satisfaction, making every effort to maintain a warm, family-oriented work environment.
