Neu-Tech Roofing, established in 1973, began as The Operculum Company and was initially a two-person operation run by Tom Barberry in Whitefish, Montana. The journey of Neu-Tech took a significant turn in 1976 when Steve Gaiorksi, who had a strong background in roofing thanks to his family's roofing business, acquired the company. Under Steve's vision, Neu-Tech Roofing quickly grew to become one of the busiest roofing companies in Montana, focusing on both flat roofing and shingles for commercial and residential buildings. Over the years, Neu-Tech completed numerous high-profile projects, including roofing for Kmart stores, Kalispell Middle School Gymnasium, and several historic buildings in downtown Kalispell.
From 1985 to 2015, the company expanded its reach, handling projects not only across the state of Montana but also extending to Idaho and northern Wyoming. By the 1990s, Neu-Tech Roofing secured its position as one of Montana's leading commercial roofing companies. In 2015, Steve chose to downscale operations to concentrate solely on the Flathead Valley, where they continued handling significant projects, although primarily local.
As of 2022, with plans for retirement looming, Steve brought Charles Whatley on board as a partner with the vision of reinvigorating Neu-Tech Roofing. Charles, who had a long-standing connection to the Flathead Valley, is now the managing partner, aiming to restore the company's statewide operations and legacy. Neu-Tech Roofing remains committed to providing quality roofing solutions while maintaining a client-centric focus. Their extensive experience also extends to insurance restoration, offering services for clients affected by roof damage. With nearly five decades in business, Neu-Tech Roofing looks forward to serving Montana for many more years to come.
