VVS Canteen, founded in 1961 by Wayne Davis and Gale Evans in Cozad, Nebraska, has grown from a small vending operation to a national leader in contract food service, coffee service, and micro markets. The company rapidly expanded after Wayne took full control in the late 1960s, introducing an amusement and games division and acquiring its first dining account in 1979. Under the leadership of Dick Davis, who became President when Wayne stepped down, VVS undertook significant growth through acquisitions and broader territory coverage.
In 1991, Kristen Jack joined the family business, and she currently serves as President, with Dick as the Chief Financial Officer and Chairman of the Board. VVS became a member of Canteen's Franchise Group in 2001, which allowed it to operate on a national scale efficiently while maintaining its commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
